Nobody asked for this. Nobody. Even my geekiest friends and I have never "what if'd" a discussion about who could be in a remake.

trust me. NO ONE has asked for any of the dozens of remakes and sequels that come out every year. But idiots will pay for anything. instead of demanding actual quality, they just take what is passed off as quality. BIG difference. Like the difference between an mr2 and a 911, one is a decent car, one is an overgrown beetle.

I bet they won't be filming in NC.

That would be the only thing that could possibly redeem this idea.

Is it me, or is the Audi going about 1/2 the speed of the 911 entering the corner?

Oh, and they can remake all they want, I still won't watch it. Not sure I've ever seen the original one sober, so my memory of it is vague anyway.

Don't forget the original movie wasn't original either. It's really a musical. So we're seeing a TV rework of a movie rework of a musical.

Hey, it'll take air time away from reality TV so that's good.

The musical was "The Rocky Horror Show", the "Picture" was added for the movie. Also, they were both written by Richard O'Brien, who also played Riff Raff, so there's a very strong coupling between those versions.

I fully expect the Fox version to suck (and not in a good way), but they seem to have done a credible job of casting Frank.

Ever since "The Sound of Music" was a big hit all the networks are rushing to put these musicals on the air. The "Grease" one was OK, I haven't seen the others. I have heard that one of the networks is doing "A Few Good Men". That's one of my all-time favorite movies, so I'll tune in. Going to have a tough time casting Col. Jessup, though.

I'm hearing that it's actually a recording of a live performance, rather than a fully produced and edited remake. I can't confirm this though.

In reply to Appleseed:

Nope. I'm pretty sure Eddie is being played by Adam Lambert.

I, for one, am not against this redo. The original will always be the classic but this will sure be a E36 M3 ton more fun to watch than a "Sound of Music" or "Grease" rehash.

I sometimes feel like I'm the only person who grew up in the 70s and 80s that didn't particularly care for Rocky Horror. There were a few laughs, but mostly it was just stupid. Didn't help that two of my best friends were obsessed and wanted to watch it over and over.....

If you went to Rocky Horror to actually watch the movie, you were doing it wrong. It was a horrible movie. I can't imaging the remake will be better and there is a good chance it will be worse.

A multi-million dollar flop might cost someone their job or cost the shareholder a few points at the end of the year, so everyone is playing it safe.

Maybe there are too many conservatives in show business.

You're not alone. There was no reason to make it the first time let alone remake it.

Hey, if they want to continue making more superman movies, why not give Rocky Horror another go.
