The fact that they are serious about this I find even more funny.
Not sure how my wife would feel about this but I could rock this.

They have got to do something. I was in my local store last night, and it doesn't seem like there is much on the shelves to even buy. Would surprise me if the store was even there in a year.
I'd rock it. I think that's one of the boxes that requires the top be open up the drawers though. That would be moderately inconvenient.
Here's a hint for you single guys: Buy that and put it in your bedroom BEFORE you get married. That way it will have always been there and it's a cute quirk of yours. After you're married, NFW that thing is going in the house, period.
I took my oldest daughters old white dresser with frilly edges and modified it to look like a tool box. All it too was cutting off the top edges to make it square, fill in the original pull holes, paint it red, install aluminum u-channel to mimic the tool box pulls. The Mrs tool the logo off my box and added it to add some extra character. The mother in law bought a HF rolling tool shelf with drawer that we added a pad to for a changing table. Boom, baby man cave, car bed added at age 2.5.
I agree...that ancient alarm clock is tasteless.
That must be the guys side....my wife's side should have an angle grinder so she can smooth her rough feet out.

Careful of the sparks.
Just so she doesn't have one of these---
Note that it includes an instructional DVD!

You could also get her a razor wheel to cut her toenails.
My wife once bought a tackle box to use for makeup. She had noticed the similarity, and the price difference. Practical girl!

That place is really circling the drain.
Does the cabinet lock on a tool box meet those weird CA rules for storing firearms? If so, they should emphasize that feature.

I do need some of my tools while I sleep, but certainly not ALL of them!
Hmm, I need more counter space in my rental and I have a 26" bottom box I'm not really using. I think this falls under forgiveness vs permission with the Wife.
can't blame them for trying to sell more stuff..
a couple of years ago, my grandma went to the ER for what she thought was another stroke but turned out to be nothing.. when a couple of my cousins and i were going in to pick her up to take her back to the nursing home, i noticed that there were black Husky toolboxes everywhere full of medical stuff. saw at least a dozen of them.
