This guy went on a business trip and while he was gone, his then-girlfriend found a way to park in his garage...she scrapped his 1967 Impala project car.

This is why I always leave the garage so that I can pull the mrs car in with a 1hr cleanup maximum
Yikes! Given that any positive relationship is based on mutual respect and open communication, he is wise to have given her the boot.
Just showed SWMBO .

The part that blows me away is that she could have parked in the barn the whole time
.... And the her family didn't understand why it was a problem
Sounds like a cheap lesson. How much would marriage end up costing him?
Wow.
That's a good way to get yourself hurt... I'm glad he was composed enough to seek legal action instead of taking matters in to his own hands.

I am going to guess there is another layer to this story. My write would be that there was money offered and exchanged for the project and she had a drug habit of some sort to feed so she played this hand and expected that her magic muffin would get her past the fall-out.
It is rare that a car hobby survives the arrival of a Rival, but this case was pretty harsh.
AITA and NTA are new acronyms for me but I'm gonna start using them heavily
She's probably pretty, so nobody has ever said "No" to her before.

Can someone please enlighten those of us who are in the dark as to their meaning? I'm an old guy, so I communicate mostly by speaking in English.

Not The shiny happy person

Less believable.
Less news.

The modern view is that news is far less interesting than funny E36 M3 that we make up, so we routinely exchange one with the other.

There are about half a dozen websites that I can think of off the top of my head that do this. Take reddit posts and make an "article" about them.
Makes sense if you don't read reddit, I guess.

It's like making a hard hitting exposé based on Penthouse Letters.
