what is the best way to ship a t-shirt? safest, cheapest are most important. i don't want to cheap out on package then have several get returned shredded and have the cost of eating a new shirt plus more shipping outweigh a .15 difference somewhere in packaging.

i know i can run USPS labels right off the computer, but all i have experienced from them is ever rising rates. bear in mind i'm used to shipping big heavy car parts to the likes of you guys, so my experience is in the last 5 years that USPS caught and passed fedex in what i had been paying to send heavier things. i do have a fedex account already.

Clothing retailers like Land's End routinely ship via USPS and package the items in a clear polyethylene bag in a tough plastic outer envelope. I've never had a problem with damage.

I use plain Tyvek envelopes and ship them via USPS First Class. It varies depending on the shirt but I probably average $2.75 in postage plus 30 cents for the envelope (Tyvek is crazy expensive).
