First time for me driving in snow like this. Decided to find an empty parking lot and have some fun and makes me happy I went with the subaru; however, I do miss my Honders :/ and my Trans Am.

That part of the snow is fun, but unfortunately the snow's not confined to the parking lot.
How does that handle on the snow compared to the others you mentioned? Can you hoon as much or as easily?
OOOh give me a home where the Zoobaroos hoon.............Snow sux, after a while the uniqueness wears off. Enjoy the moment though

That there is sacrilege - Snow does not suck!!!
I happen to enjoy all 4 seasons.
my fun was short lived. On my way to work I realized that driving in the bonneville salt flats after a small snow storm isn't all that awesome. My future brother in law who just transplanted to oregon tells me they don't salt the roads out there!
I imagine I could hoon in the trans am the control wouldn't be there. The hondas not much at all but that doesn't negate the fact that their interior quality and gas mileage were way better!
That is just a dusting. You should have stayed in the parking lot. Start by trying to do some donuts with your Suby. Than the handbrake turns, than the left foot braking, than the scandinavian flick, etc...
Doing handbrake turns usually results in destroyed center diffs on Subarus unless you push in the clutch while you do it.
Having lived in Wisconsin all my life and have been driving in the snow for 15+ years, I still get a smile on my face when I have to let off the brakes to keep from plowing past a corner and gas it a bit to bring the back end around to line up the turn. By the end of February, however, I'll be cursing the snow, just like every year.
I don;t care what the suby fanbois think.. I really do like the looks of that generation impreza -- It's especially awesome looking covered in snow

IDK, Indy has its resident FAILBOT with one of those......blowing engine up, blown diffs, he's probably done it all. Asking for a warranty fix for the blown engine was priceless though, coated in mud, helmets in the car......

My camaro can be fun in the snow, although getting forward motion with older snow tires and all that torque can be a bit of a pain. Once you're rolling its a blasty blast.
The honda on the other hand floats over the snow and doesn't even need the handbrake to get the rear end sliding.
And salt is the devil.

agreed. i may be getting rid of it though :/ this baby on the way thing has me stressing. I crunch numbers every day. We are living comfortably now but I don't know what to expect! I need to get the fiancee a car. Sold her Accord that was in Florida. Cost to fly down, make necessary repairs, and drive up wasn't worth it.
Plus I want to be able to tinker with something.
Good news is I've found a Saab 9-2x 2.5i auto for the wife with low miles and cheap. Lot's of space, AWD, and goofy looking! And if I do get rid of it I will be going back into an 8th gen civic si.
But this is all here-say. I've got to sell this car or see what I could get on trade. If things don't match up then I won't worry.
