Coming home from my mom's today.. I am in bumper to bumper traffic going through philly on the "surekill" when I start hearing something "scraping" under my car. I have no place to pull over so I keep driving. Get over the bridge and to a place where I can stop.. and the ballest is hanging by it's wires, dragging on the ground.
a small rant, but now I need to replace it

Heck, I'll sell you one of my old ones for $10 if you want it. I thought I had a bad ballast last summer, so I replaced mine with one of the DDM slimline kits. Turned out I only had a blown fuse (yeah, that was kinda dumb), so I have a couple good ballasts hanging around now. I want to keep one as an emergency spare though.
I was once asked if HID lights were a good option to get. "Do you like paying $200 for a light bulb?" was my reply. HID's were not opted for....

check link above. I retrofitted OEM projectors, with bulbs, ballasts, and wiring harness, plus an extra set of headlight housings to modify for less than $400.
