SE Bikes, yeah, the P.K. Ripper people, just released this video from the BMX reunion that I recently went to.
Warning: It contains one or two dirty words and, yes, all filming involved professional drivers on a closed course. Also, cool cameo by the Brumos VW bus.

now I REALLY want a PK Ripper with axle pegs \m/
Sitting here surfin the web while recovering from a heart attack and operation to install stents I had a couple weeks ago. So I watch the video and realize it's been over 30 years since I first went riding with Stu, Harry Leary & the boys. We were all learning how to "speed wheelie" (manual) in the parking lots at the hotel during the NBL Grands. Damn I'm gettin old! Think I'll bust out my old Redline PL 20 and teach the kids in the neighborhood how to rock walk when I'm feeling better.

I didn't know Pitbull was a BMXer.

Does make me want to practice wheeling more. I used to be pretty good 30-odd years ago. Not so good now.

Dude, I wish you a speedy and full recovery!

It's interesting how much of the bmx crowd moved over to cars. I guess adrenaline explains most of it. I was just staring at my Bully Piston (RL Osborne's short lived bike company) and wanting to do a light resto on it to ride with my son. I pulled the plug on racing after a nasty wreck before a national event when I was in 17expert. Yikes, that was 23 years ago...
Side note I want to convert an SE Floval Flyer over to a 5 spd in the worst way...
It's true, I have found lots of BMXers who are into cars--lots. In fact, that's how Craig Reynolds and I met almost 25 years ago at an NBL National. You think it's a coincidence that one of his signature frames was called the CRX?
And regarding the five-speed Floval Flyer, have you seen the OM-Duro?

That's really cool, but 38.6 lbs??? Yikes!!
In reply to Ian F:
That was my thought too. My budget full suspension MTB is right at 35lbs.
When did BMX switch to old guys on mountain bikes? I have been away a while.

There are still plenty of young guys doing crazy stunts on 20" bikes. Old guys just find larger wheels more comfortable.
If anything, yeah, I think BMX has developed so many specialized factions, from carbon fiber, Olympic-level racing bikes to skatepark bikes to flatland bikes to retro stuff made for us old dudes. It's been neat watching all that happen.
Wheelies? Oh, yes. Except mine are faster and, arguably more dangerous.

I currently have a SE SoCal Flyer and love the SE bikes, but I don't love this year's colors on the Big Ripper nor do I have the $650 or so to throw at one right now. So I did a little hunting and found this for about $300. Its got great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I've never ridden a 29" bike, so if I love it, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a 2013 blue Big Ripper. Framed 29er

I still don't wheelie well, but that makes me want to work on it...
Speaking of- if anyone in Wisconsin wants to buy a newer SE Ripper or a 90s Mongoose Villian, I have both available and cheap.

Post a pic of the ripper. What year/color?
Edit: I realize now that it may not be a "big" ripper.
It is a standard ripper, 20" wheels, white in color with red accents.
I do have a STLN Zeke XLT, stupid name, awesome bike. I loves me some 26" BMX.
I've thought about getting rid of my MTB and going down to a 20" BMX. You guys aren't helping .
