Few things are more expensive than a free boat... except a free wooden boat!
If you have a lot of free hours it could be very cool but it will take up more time and more space than you might imagine.
As far as boats go, a fireball is pretty easy to take care of. Provided it has been kept painted and varnished and the interior of the hull allowed to dry out and breathe, there is not a lot to go wrong with them.
