I am sitting at a bar in Bad Axe, Michigan. I was offered the choice between Coconut Cream pie and Chocolate Cream pie. I went coconut. I love coconut. But I live with the regret of what MIGHT have been with the Chocolate. I keep telling myself that we make the best decisions we can and we must live with our choices.

The correct decision is both.
Live with no regrets....
Coconut was the right choice. I personally dislike chocolate.

One time I went for the chocolate at some German restaurant in Columbus and the thing was so incredibly rich that I couldn't finish it.
Dwell on that for a moment. Uneaten pie. Pie thrown away. HORRIFYING.

I think doing that is illegal in a few states

Believe you me, that whole episode weighs heavily on me every waking moment.
Coconut is always correct, allergies or not. Just have to power past the no breathing part.
I don't care much for pie, but I would have gone with the chocolate and probably not regretted it.
If you went to a bar to get desert you're doing it wrong. I'm not saying you can't pick up some nice pie in a bar. Just watch out for what you might pick up from some pie in a bar.

Chocolate pie. If you ordered coconut, you're un-well.

The Pie Deities were damning me to misery by not offering that as a choice.

coconut is the single worst tasting and worst textured tropical food ever invented by nature or man.
+1 for chocolate
You shut your pie hole!
Just trying to stir things up. I think the correct answer is both.

your argument is invalid:
Coconut isn't that 5 year old bag of dried flake crap that everyones mom had in the cupboard back in the 70's and 80's.
I grew up thinking I hated coconut. I associated it with that gross, chewing on toenail clippings stale E36 M3 too. Then I started going to Thai and Vietnamese restaurants and was constantly asking "Whats that delicious flavor?" and the answer was always coconut.

nope...let me introduce your worst nightmare...coconut crab! Or as its more commonly referred to: The fourth horseman, and harbinger of mans doom
shaved waxy fruit is a walk in the park compared to that which shall haunt your dreams for eternity!
I have just shy of a berkeleyton of Reese's cup in my fridge right now, it is torture not eating them all in one sitting.
Oh and coconut is awful and E36 M3ty save for girl scout samoa cookies.

Agreed. This is the only candy bar I will accept as payment in lieu of cash.

Just outside of the frame is a mob of New Englanders with their Old Bay and tiny hammers. That crab is trying to hide.

Interesting. I polled all my male friends one time on coconut. It's been my experience that it's a man-thing, most hate it.
