I just received two spam cans, the contents of which will be fed to my angry screwdriver.
$170, plus $18 for shipping.
EDIT: I was wrong. Looking at invoice right now. $161.49 for the case. $29.99 for the shipping
Just out of curiosity, how serious is the corrosion factor of this ammo? Is a standard wipe down with oil and run an oily rag through the barrel enough, or what?

I haven't shot any of this stuff yet, but the recommendations I've seen say to run a patch sprayed with windex or ammonia/water (50/50 mix) down the barrel before leaving the range. The ammonia is supposed to neutralize the salts left behind by the burden primer.
Some sites also recommend removing the bolt and disassembling it to clean each part after shooting. I'm curious if the other GRMers with mosin-nagants think that is necessary.
I asked a friend of mine who was a lifer in the Army (Master Gunner,) what the best way to clean after shooting corrosive ammo was. He said hot soapy water. Put it in the bucket, muzzle in the bucket and pump the water in and out with the cleaning rod/patch from the chamber end.
With my Mosins I just scrub the barrel with windex and then oil it. I've never had the bolts apart. The internet seems to be the preferred habitat of the overly-anal know it alls when it comes to corrosive ammo
No, he didn't say anything about disassembling the bolt. He had a MN once as well. He is of Finnish heritage and he found a Finn re-worked MN at a pawn shop once and had to have it.

Good to hear. That's what I was hoping would suffice.
