Does anyone make a good one?
I prefer impact sprinklers, but my front yard isn't quite big enough for one. Does anyone make a decent sprinkler that will water a smaller area without spraying half the water on the driveway or street?
The plastic crap at LowesDepot pretty much sucks. They are either spotty. break, or dump so much water so fast that most of it runs off. The only quality stuff I can find is for large areas.
I don't mind spending decent money on a decent sprinkler. I don't need a in ground system. I usually only have to water two or three times a month. Just enough to keep the grass happy through the dry times.
What do you use that works.
I use one of those little crappy zinc sprinklers that looks like a fried egg and move it around to where it's needed. This is to supplement the broken down in ground system we already have. It's an active process, though. No set it and forget it.
I have a Nelson cast iron tractor I bought at a flea market for $20
I prefer to prevent any water from reaching my lawn. The quicker it dies each year the less I have to mow it. I freaking hate mowing.

Concrete is the best solution.
I have 2 of these. They work fine. You can daisy chain them. And you can always not open the valve all the way to reduce the area they water.
I use them with a timer so they only water like 15 mins a day. Just for getting new seed to start to kill bare patches. I'm not really a fan of watering my lawn otherwise.

I have one of those and use it to water small areas that I am sprigging grass into. It works very well, but don't leave it in the yard not attached to a hose, because insects will build a home in it.
