In what way? For the right people it's fantastic. I'd say that for a given population fewer men make great stay at home parents than women, but that doesn't mean that none are suitable for the job. Stay at home dads are a little like female fighter pilots in that way.

Most wives will view a man as emasculated when he's not working. As was said earlier, it will be "her" money, and you'll probably have all of your purchases scrutinized.
Nah, I don't think so.
I have a coworker who was a stay at home dad for his two children while his wife was the breadwinner. They have a great relationship and are great friends as well. Some guys are just better nurturers than some women. I say, go for it.
If one partner over scrutinizes the other, then there are communication breakdowns that are the real issue.
