I can't help but remember the snooping drone incident you had not long ago.
Could these two incidents be related?
I wonder. From what the cop said, the drone flier was a few houses further down, so I suspect not, but maybe.....

A couple years back I was going to my uncle's place. Never been there before, but I pulled up to his house. Saw his truck along with my father's truck in the driveway. Walked right on in to a stagers very polite, "Oh, hello!".
I apologized profusely, but she demanded to call the sheriff's deputy... to ask if he could help me find my uncle's place. The deputy called the mail carrier to get directions for me.
Meh. It happens. Just figured I'd share a story from the other side of the door.
I know it can happen...once. But three times in fairly short order, and two of those three times they went to the same house? The third time my son didn't see where the car went. Just seems like too much of a coincidence.

Jehovah's witnesses have been greeted by an armed and angry Rev, because I'm paranoid and who the Hell knocks at 9am? Although that is good for keeping them away for years on end.
Nope. They haven't knocked at 9am. Unless you invited them to come to your house at 9am, they weren't there.

July 5th this year. Spreading the word of God on the most hungover day of the year. Maybe it was another religion, but I'm pretty sure they left me a tower flyer.
That actually makes it much weirder if it wasn't a witness.
If you don't already have one, a surveillance camera of some kind may help if you should ever need "evidence" or corroboration of something these weirdos did.
THREE pages and no one got perverse about the title?!

Here's another common sitch but maybe not the case: New parents.
People coming over a lot, often times people who are unfamiliar to the house (extended family, lots of friends of new grandparents), and then combine that with sensitive new parents who think the doorbell will wake their baby and say "just come in when you get here".
My wife screwed that one up going to bring food for her coworker when they had a brand new baby.
Also, is your address almost doubled somewhere close? I live about 10 houses from the "north south division" on my street, and therefore about 20 houses left of mine is a house with the exact same everything address except they have an 's' where I have an 'n'. And the n's and s's are not even written on the houses. Easy to screw up.

This reminds me of the case of the Stolen Subaru that was returned.

I get this pretty regularly. My address is 3 Rockland, my driveway is on Henry St. Across the road is 3 Henry St, his driveway is on Rockland. The worst mix up was this past spring. I got 5 yards of top soil delivered. I wasn't going to be home so I told them to dump it in front of the garage. When I got home he was still trying to get his car out.

Ugh, I had this but worse. I live at 115 xxxx road. My road is a State Route that crosses 4 different towns contiguously, and the numbered addresses reset at every town line. There are 4x 115 xxxxx Road's on the same road, just in different towns, and mine is sandwiched between 2 others that are <3 miles apart. Even worse is that 3 of the 4 houses with almost identical addresses all happen to be white farmhouses. We get strangers (who at least knock!), misdelivered mail, and even unexpected pizza. All 4 of us exchanged #'s because of the confusion. I only pray that it doesn't ever turn up as a problem in, God forbid, an emergency situation...
I was pretty upset when 3 tons of wood pellets were dropped at the wrong house and the vendor wouldn't redeliver. For what it's worth, it takes 2 people a full 5 hours to load and unload 3 tons of pellets by the individual bag, using a borrowed pickup truck. I couldn't move for 2 days after that.
