I've just linked my credit (well, debit) card to my paypal account. How do I now pay for something (on Ebay) via credit card, though paypal, rather than using my existing 'paypal balance'?
I hope that makes sense.

Normally, when you're hitting the payment link on ebay there should be a link to change the funding source right underneath the '$x.xx from paypal balance' message.
That's the thing, it does give me "more funding options", but the only alternative is 'eCheque'.
edit: Apparently,If you have a balance in your account, we will require you to make your payments from that balance.
That's Paypal for you I guess...
I can understand it from a business point of view (they probably have to pay a fee to hit your credit/debit card like every other merchant) so they'd rather you use the 'free virtual money' that they've parked in a corporate savings account for you...
the 6 day wait was bs, that's why I opted for their (Paypal) debit card, you can withdraw it or use it purchases right away.
I believe you have to go in and add other money sources before you try to make payments with them. I set up a separate bank account with a minimum amount of money in it that's linked to Paypal as the primary source, but I nearly always use my credit card instead. Each time I have to click on the little box to use the credit card instead of the bank account, and they ask if I really want to do that, but that's just how it works.
Does using a debit card potentially open you up to bigger problems than a plain old credit card? It would seem that leaves the possibility open for someone to drain your bank account, where you get some protection from the credit card services from fraudulent purchases.
