Yeah, I don't understand freaks like you
Seriously, the most expensive blades don't last more than I'd say 4 shaves.

I use disposable razors and Edge shaving cream and shave in the shower. I get a closer shave without nicks that way. Before I started shaving in the shower, a blade (even the expensive ones) would last less than a week. Since shaving in the shower, a blade (razor) last about 3 weeks, a month if I push it. Just how close are some of you trying to shave? Trying to get close enough to play "Tootsie"?

Read my previous post as to how I get that. I didn't used to get that, although they always lasted me longer than 4 shaves.
My SIL has one of those beards that needs trimming 2-3 times a day, or at least it did till he started doing it my way and now it only needs trimming 1-2 times a day BUT, and here's the most important item, IT'S WAY MORE COMFORTABLE!
Mine is not that heavy a beard, but it's night and day when it comes to comfort and he says shaving used to be torture and now he doesn't mind it at all.
I don't shave anymore. It's killing off the poor crabs

Your sister-in-law has a beard???
I tried everything, shaving in the shower, different cremes, different patterns. I never get more than a week from a blade. I sprout telephone poles from my face.

No, just close enough to not scratch my wife's legs...
I just use an electric razor that was given to me in 9th grad. I change the blades like once every two years. Doesn't get much cheaper then that... (except not shaving).

SON in law, but I've seen some sister in laws that needed to shave.
Lightly preshave, strop your blade to keep the blade more perfect and dry it off so that it doesn't rust (SS pits) which destroys the edge.
You'll be amazed how much more comfortable your shave will become with the light preshave.

Which is why I shave and shower in the evening before bed.

This is funny.

I have started shaving every other day or so, my wife likes a little stubble.

30 Feathers is like $15. That's like a 6 month supply! How poor are you?!

I remember your little shaving dickdance. You're insane! Also apparently ok with dull blades.
Weeks, even months or years on the same blade? What kind of baby hair do you have? I would wear out a straight-blade in a week with my iron-like stubble.

I'm on the $6-every-other-month plan and love it.

NOPE, I hate dull blades, I have very sensitive skin. Stropping and taking care of them keeps them sharp.
Also the light pre-shaving greatly lessens the wear to the blade.

Wallmart carries them here. Not really working the best for me.

Sorry man, you can't claim a year and a half from a safety razor, normal facial hair growth, and also claim to hate dull blades, even if you strop the berkeley out of them. Not to mention the TIME lost. I'm all for being frugal, but when a year's worth of beautiful Feather blades is $20, you're not seeing the ROI.
I had completely forgotten about your "pre-shaving" too... man, you crazy. It wouldn't be bad if you just kept that crazy to yourself, but trying to con your fellow GRMers into it...
Life is too short and my face is too pretty to deal with a 3 act play and dull blades every time I shave!

Unless you don't mind paying extra for the delivery, the 4 and 6 blade razors from Dollar Shave Club are just Dorco's (a good brand). Which you can get a lot cheaper direct. You're welcome!
