We are a her's, mine and ours. Income is deposited into the joint house account. That's the one that pays the bills. She keeps up with it. As needed we will transfer funds into two other accounts. One is her's to do with what she pleases. One is mine. We had too many situations, when we were younger, where a lack of communication nuked the joint account. Having separate play accounts keeps that from happening.
