just got my first one.. any other people got there first or thinking bout it?
Personal choice, but I am not a fan. My nephew just got one under his upper arm. He seems to be under the impression that they can wear off in a few years...
...um... yeah...
...I just told him, I hope you like what you wrote in 40 years. Of course it will probably be just a black blob long before then, or more likely, a tattoo removal mark.
I am not sure what the state of tattoo removal is at this point, but in general you need to be prepared for that fact that it is a life long decision.
I continue to think about getting a shift pattern tatted into my left hand (I like brit cars, and will one day own a vintage mini.) I probably won't get the tat until I get the car...
I am not a fan of any tattoo but especially I have decided that all neck tattoos spell the same thing regardless of the letters used, "poor decision making skills."
I would love to hear from the tattoo crowd, "has your tattoo ever held you back?"
ehh I like tattoos, nothing crazy though. Ladies with piercings and tattoo's? as long as it isn't overboard.....
Archeologists in the future will have an easy time identifying mummified bodies from the early 2000s, as they'll all have tattoos and piercings.
I have one, and i'd like many more. I read a comment from someone once in regards to tattoos... it said something like "If I could be any color I wanted, why would I be the same as everyone else?"
Remember those pictures of you in your youth that you are ashamed of? That's a tattoo except you don't grow out of it.
I love the Walmart near me. There's a little low rent town with a Walmart that you can go in and get your laugh of the day. The best are the girls with their current beau's name tattooed on the back of their neck. Supposedly it's under the hair line, but they keep crossing off the old BF's name with a big black X and putting another underneath it. I was behind one girl who's list ran down way past her collar.
6 so far, more to come. All are non-visible as I still have to hold a respectable job. I can't stand neck tattoos though, I want to stab those people in the neck with a No. 2 pencil!
I have two, and have one more idea I'd really like to do.
Only one of mine peek out of the bottom of a T-shirt arm, and the next one will probably make that true for both arms.
I've never run into issues or felt "held back" by my admittedly conservatively placed tattoos. Many of my friends sport a fair amount of ink, and also seem to be doing just fine. We are in a good part of the world for that...
While I'm personally disinclined to get much ink that I can't easily hide, just for the sake of blending in if I feel like it, I have to say I don't understand the vitriol directed at folks who have, for instance, neck tattoos.
I've known some smart, nice, and yes, successful people with neck tattoos. If you're going to have a violent impulse towards someone, may I humbly suggest a reason besides their own choices about their own personal appearance?
a friend of mine has said for yrs that when he's out "trolling" he zeros in on any woman with visible tats... he claims the tats prove that they'll make snap decisions that they'll regret later... says it works for him quite well...
Tattoos tell stories. Hot chicks with tattoos tell dirty stories.
(DISCLAIMER: FACE TATTOOS DO NOT WORK!)
I don't care for neck tattoos because it looks like your neck is dirty. Pretty much the same thing with sleeves.
Nope, no tattoo's for me. I have 4 close friends with them, and all regret at least one.
On the other hand, some do look really cool, and I do understand it. Just not my thing.
Only if I was a SEAL, Ranger, Delta Force, or Marine (etc). Other than those guys, nobody is bad-ass enough to get a tattoo.
I have five at the moment, plan on a full sleeve sooner or later.
I like them, and if tattoos are the worst thing I regret later in life I think I'll have done pretty well. They've never held me back but I can cover them all. The most obvious I have is one on the underside of my wrist.
Personally, I think the only people who can pull off neck/face/hand tattoos are tattoo artists.

Well, you and the guy that did the tattoo...

Never make an ink decision when alcohol is involved... but it's usually always involved, goes w/ the territory.
Best comment I ever heard is the only difference between people with tattoos and those without is people with tattoos dont care if you have them.
I have one, and used to have multiple piercings (in a corporate environment) I'll add another some day when I decide what it should be. That's the key part, having something that is important enough to mark yourself with permanently and not just some random ink you think is cool at the time.
