Excellent example. Perhaps it's time to call for the end of homogeneous golf course designs, and require all courses to only use local plants. Might actually make the cookie cutter tournaments more interesting. Well, interesting for golf 
F1 races should only be held in countries that produce oil, and only use the fuel produced by said country. Although I'm not sure that would do much other than decimate the European circuits...
