In reply to HiTempguy:
You can see that Blizzaks are bald all season tires?
You must have some of that high tech image enhancement software you see in movies, as I can't see that they are bald or even all season.
The build thread mentions Blizzaks, and I suspect that they are pretty new considering when the car was gotten.
In reply to NGTD:
Where is this "build thread" of which you speak ?

Bet that crashed car didn't have winter tires.
Obviously he did something wrong in spite of his "skill".

There sure is a lesson; don't drive on bald-ass all seasons in the winter. Proof is your pictures.
How much would you care to bet on that iceracer? HiTempguy and you are both completely wrong. You both need to to step back and realize sometimes doing everything right is still not enough. Armchair commentating without taking time to check your facts is not a smart move.
Bald-assed all season tires as seen in my picture, like this one? I see a Blizzak with plenty of tread. I am the biggest advocate of snow tires in this forum, those comments, in a word, piss me off.

Four Blizzaks are not a guarantee that you are going to have done enough in every situation
Snow tires threads I commented in after a quick search, remember I run a business with many cars driving all Winter in Ohio. I average 20K on my own in Winter every year.

I know there are several more including my build threads.
@hitemp. They don't look bald and they could easily be blizzaks, based on the look of the sidewall.
Also. I know its the Internet, but stop being a summers eve.

Dare I ask what the hell happened? I hope the occupants are unharmed?

These people KNOW how to drive in snow, and that still happens. So when you come up on a sudden snow squall, it's pretty natural to slow quickly.
I'm not talking about slowing down for a squall. I'm talking about hysterically reacting the sight of an airborne snowflake.
The roads are clear and dry. A snowflake is observed in the air. The driver slams on the brakes, even skidding, because they've seen a snowflake in the air. This is not knowing how to drive. This is not responding to changing conditions. This is panic.

And I'm saying that panic is rooted in reality. Or at least real events.
Deal with it.

One 22 year old male occupant, he walked away without a scratch, we are still thankful and scratching our heads as to how.
