I have a "Smert" TV and I have the Amazon app/channel/whatever. I've watched Man in the High Castle using it (that's Amazon right? Or Hulu? Kinda hangry at the moment). I'll give it a go this weekend.

Yup, that was Amazon, so you should be good to go.

They dropped the price for Prime to $70 and it's free for the first 30 days. Why not try it out instead of stealing it?
I just watched it with my brothers. It felt a bit slow. Too much footage of cars sliding around on a track and not enough content. I didn't think the American racing driver bit was that funny. The show has enough goofiness already and the hot test laps would be a good place to inject some seriousness.
That said, it was still very entertaining. The chemistry between the hosts is great and the production and cinematography are top notch. Definitely a good start and I'm excited to see where the show goes.
I finally got to watch this tonight and I enjoyed it. I found it quite entertaining. They all still have it. I am enjoying the thought of the roaming audience tent. The RAF bit was goofy but different than their usual shtick.
I enjoyed the new track, the corners were well named.
Had some buddies over to watch, made a drinking game of it (naturally)
Important rules: drink any time they mention Hammond being short, Clarkson being fat, or May being slow, drink any time they have to avoid saying something to avoid the ire of the BBC, finish your drink if Clarkson yells 'Speed' or 'Powah'
Then I had the bright idea of drinking anytime someone dies, instituted upon seeing the first death.
That rule is sticking around, big time.

The tent isn't a real thing beyond that beautifully shot opening sequence.. they are in a studio somewhere in Britain and they will just have a different location as their weekly theme/joke.. didn't you notice how the scenery in the background kept moving up and down and how Jeremy told the crowd that they were Americans this week?

High castle started awesome but the later episodes where a chore. A total chore. I'll bet they don't do a season two.
I made it just about half way through the first episode before I turned it off. I may go back and finish it sometime, but I doubt it.

Tent is real. I got interviewed to be in that crowd (near LA, not in England). The scenery moving up and down was weird but it was because the camera was moving up and down while keeping Clarkson's head centered.
SWMBO and I loved the show. Thought it was the best stuff they've done yet.
Just watched it (thanks for getting Prime Tiger Mom!). I thought the opening sequence was just brilliant, things were....very hit and miss after that. Some things I laughed aloud at and some I cringed at. I'll definitely be watching the rest of the season.
Even as new and raw as it was, head a shoulders above the recast British top gear travesty that we endured (looking at you Chris Evans)

I haven't watched that show, but I did see that season 2 premieres next month.
Watched with some friends last night. I like others enjoyed all but the NASCAR reincarnation of the Stig, and that feeling was shared by all of us watching it.
My favorite part was Hammond proudly stating Porsche's claimed MPGs for the 918, and Clarkson then pointing out that they were owned by VW. The timing of that whole bit, was perfect. I know it was scripted, but that's my kind of comedy!

Psshh, you probably want the useless, can't-do-anything-with-it LaFerrari, too.

And when someone dies in your group? Still drink?

Hmm... yes... if you put me in front of all three and said, "choose one to take home" - I'd probably pick the Ferrari. Because Ferrari.

Well, considering that Matt Farah and others were there for the shooting in California and have talked about it, I'm pretty sure they were actually there. It wouldn't be much of a "tour" if they just stayed in Britain.
Enjoyed it a fair bit. I agree with general concensus. The NASCAR guy sucked, some of the extended drifting scenes could have been shortened. The dead celebs were clunky. The RAF skit, while they were correct, did go on a bit. I did like the bloody nose though. It started off better than the original Top Gear. Way way better than Chris Harris top gear and in a different category completely to the American Top Gear.
The real test was the fact my non car people wife and daughter loved it too. My daughter pointed out that Grand Tour is GT which is TG reversed. I felt a bit dumb for not noticing that one myself.
