You look like you belong in a Primus video with that one...

Get it? It looks like a truck driving school but really it's from They Might Be Giants.
TMBG are an absolute riot. The kids love "Here Come the ABCs"; it's a favored road trip album.
Awesome hats!
Anyone here got a huge head? Regular sizes don't fit me, and the snap-backs and flex fits don't fit either!
I think it's something like 25" around, quite the pumpkin.
About the weirdest hat I own is this Indiana Jones cheapie replica that I bought at Disney when I got to meet the man the myth the legend that is MNDSM

Not really weird, honestly. Fedoras fall into the awesome side of the spectrum...

You sure it was me? Coulda been an evil doppelganger.
Flat cap. I've never found a version available in the USA. All of the ones I've seen seem to be at least somewhat like the puffier "newsboy" cap.
Flat caps have been a family tradition for us for many years. Here's my dad wearing his trademark white flat cap at the Hambletonian, Duquoin Illinois, 1975. The other man is Hall of Fame trainer-driver Jimmy Arthur.

Do any of the Boston Scally hats suit you? I've been inundated with their ads on FB lately.
My snow shoveling and Miata driving hat. You can't see the nice red plaid in this shot......really stylish.
In reply to DeadSkunk (Warren) :
I've gotten a bunch of their ads myself. I still don't think they're quite the same as a British style flat cap. The brims are curved, More like a ball cap.
I don't wear hats often. Working in the sun sometimes, or helmets if I'm on two wheels or a racetrack. So I don't have a leg to stand on, and even less authority, but I'm pretty sure wae is winning this thread.
Go Bill!
Get it.... hats... bill...
I know where the door is.
I pulled out some boxes. More flat caps, and some surviving fedoras.
This is the one I usually wear when it cools off here.

Bought sometime in the mid to late 70s.
A wool crusher fedora, bought for a trip to Alaska in 91.
The custom fedora I mentioned earlier. It's a quality dress hat from a time when men weren't dressed if they weren't wearing a hat. It needs to be cleaned and reblocked, but good luck finding a haberdashery.
It's the wrong time of day to get into the costumes. More to come...
