I get to see FF6 today, in my own home.
They only stuck me with needles 3 times today for an extended time blood test. Could have been 4 I guess?
Last day of work/internship!
Now I have a month+ off before I have to go back to school. Tomorrow is going to be spent packing up and Sunday driving to IL, I'm not terribly thrilled it is going to snow though considering I am bringing back a trailer.
I have a screaming two year old that's mad I took my cell phone away from him so he can't play Fruit Ninja?
A contractor was hosting a Indian Cuisine Christmas lunch today at one of my projects. The project manager is Indian so I figured it'd be a good meal plus I love Indian food. I've been looking forward to this for a couple of weeks.
I ended up getting held up on another project and missing the lunch. I was pissed. I sent the PM a note apologizing for having to miss it.
He just sent me a note inviting my wife and I to join him and his wife for dinner at an Indian restaurant.
Colour me happy.
Ordered new fog light replacement, replaced a bad corner marker lamp, and scraped some old decals off the new Impreza I bought Sunday while she's out Xmas shopping. Also put the GPS in using the gooseneck mount that uses the seat bolt so I have my GPS again.
I finally got hired on full time from contractor status at my work and also got a 10k raise! So happy x-mas to me!
SCCA awards banquet last night. I won a few things. (The biggie is the main award for the club & I won it for a bunch of work I did last year.)
Got my raise yesterday, without getting to see my performance review first.
My boss is an idiot, thankfully, he got demoted at the end of yesterday and my buddy is my new boss. Pretty good pay day.
I just got back from a ski trip with my university. 5 nights in NICE condos maybe 5 minutes walking away from the slopes. 4 days of skiing in Steamboat Springs, it snowed every day, loads of fresh powder, it was incredible. Best snowboarding I've ever had.
Who has job openings in CO?

More like who doesn't. Tons of jobs in the Denver area.
Scored some unobtanium parts for the Alfa 164 recently- a new, NLA timing belt tensioner from Yahoo Auctions Japan (cost me half of what it would from a specialist, even with shipping and bidding fees included), and what may be the very last new set of Koni Yellow 164 front inserts from a Porsche supplier who received them by mistake.
I also got a $1,000 raise for the year!
Wednesday I found a 1980 GLC shell on CL in Orlando for reasonable money and went and grabbed it on Thursday! VERY solid and will be a great base for the vintage race car I plan to build with all the race parts from my wrecked HP car.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel! Put down a deposit and signed a lease on a rental house, movers are booked, and I have my ticket back to California to help the fiancee do the road trip.
Top it off, last night a group of us hosted the first monthly Blues dance in Columbus. I taught the lesson and DJ'd the last half of the evening. Folks are raving about how wonderful it was.

looking forward to meeting you … GRM tent each morning … coffee and doughnuts
On track for a record January...at the end of which, I'll write the check that pays off the business...which I'm really enjoying driving my 400HP leather couch to and fro. AND I didn't even have to use my AK.
Just had my EOY review with my boss, he is pretty tolerant of some things.
I have been doing shift work for close to 20 years already and he's looking for ways to keep me in the department but get me off shifts - that makes me very happy.
