What they forgot to do on the first kit is to put a ground close enough to jump from the BBQ igniter.
Either way its a crap mod.

I watched it the other night. I continue to be impressed with their production values.

I enjoy the skid factory. Al's pragmatism is refreshing.
I liked his comment while making the crossover pipe for the LS nova. That it was a method of pulse tuning but more importantly it made a V8 sound good and not like two misfiring 4 cylinders fighting each other.
so I enjoyed part 2 of 'turbos and temples 2'...

I'm definitely going to have to get an international drivers license... because I've got some new drives on my bucket list now
Turbos and Temples 2 was one of the best car related shows I’ve seen in a very long time. Like it blows cable TV automotive shows out of the water.
Their production value is amazing for such a small production. Plus Moog makes some excellent music which adds to the aesthetic of the shows.

The other really interesting thing, was their whole mentality when approaching this project...

I actually like Skid factory better than mainline MCM.
The drawn out sex jokes from Marty and Moog have become tedious. I just like watching stuff get built.

I do every now and again. I really need to be in the mood for it though.
It's the same thing with shows like Family Guy. The exact moment I stopped watching it casually was that episode where Peter was chasing something, fell, hurt his knee, and they drew out the scene for what seemed like 3 minutes with ahhh ahhh ahhh. It became a recurring "gag" afterward.
My sense of humor has been described as dry gallows. That's likely why the banter between Al and Woody is funny to me I guess.

That restoration shop they visited in part 2 of the video was pretty cool. The road they drove was nice, although I'd hesitate calling it the best drive in the world.
I would put that episode on par with some of the better TopGear episodes. Very well done.
Now I kind of want a car that goes “moooooooo... pffftt, pfffft”. But without the “beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep....”

You know, the prototypes for the US market actually had manuals in them, but everyone who tested them said that they would have preferred automatics.
I remember seeing a manual trans Transit prototype at the Philly Auto Show years ago and got my hopes up but nope..
