That sounds like the plot from that second or third Bourne Identity movie. Except for the 5 minutes of character introduction. I think it was 20 seconds.

Um, why would they reintroduce the character in the sequels?
Outside of the Bond films, I can't think of any sequels that go over the main character's details too much.
The chase was in the end of the second movie and the third picked up right at the end of it.
