I think they incorporated half of the features into the aztec. the early '90sness hurt my brain

The friggin' Swiss Army Car.

"It even comes with a cellular phone that only weighs a pound and costs a scant $.25 a minute to use!!!"

Haha, cool. It was probably no more ridiculous than anybody else's early '90s "future car", though possibly more gimmicky.

This vs.the Aztec? I'd buy one. Just for the bitchin' 3 spoke wheels alone.

Heck, the Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico RS saved Ford in england for over three decades. They never had to put out as good a performance car there for that long because of it. Not E36 M3 ing y'all at all. Only the Golf GTi could rival the Mk1 Escort (and it's many decedents) iconoclastically.

AHHH ZE GOGGLES, ZEY DO NOZZING!!!

It looks good (apart from the color) and I like some of the storage options (although they put some downright silly things in there)...but that's about it.

I remember seeing that promo when I worked at the dealership. I liked the idea of the car then and I like it still.

I think the volt is a great car for GM.

If they'd sell it at a price people could afford. no berkeleying way am I paying $40K for it.

sell it direct for $17K (yeah right) and sell them all day long

One removable vacuum cleaner simply wouldn't be enough. I need two. And a garden hose.

Whose mom was in that focus group?

I will say that car is hideous. However, designers would be well to use space that efficiently. Look at the idea of the RAM BOX.. Why didn't they do that earlier?( I do know you could get it on aftermarket beds but sheesh)

I would like to see people use the insides of all that stupid interior cladding in a car for storage space if possible. I know the space is there.

But with two vacuums, a garden hose, a radio ect how much coke can I possibly hide?

Edited for fat fingers

I think it's really clever. A bit too plasticky and neon-y, but quite a few good ideas.

Vagely resembles this:

I think it needs those out rigger thrusters to really make it cool tho.

I kind of like it.. having driven a large ford box truck with the glass in the lower half of the doors, I think those openings are pretty cool

Didn't one car have a plastic interior you could hose out? I am halfway there with the pickup, I pulled the carpet and could probably hose it out if I wanted.

I bet if GM ever did make that car it would have so many problems with all those little latches and actuators breaking it would just be a pain to deal with.

Honda Element had that, as do numerous pick-me-ups with vinyl carpeting and seats.

Well, the early 90's were still fairly plasticky and neon-y--fallout from the late 80's

Some neat gadgets, more useless gadgets but nice use of space. Do away with the useless gadgets and I would buy one. Nice that it has a built in tool kit in it's own storage. Not sure I like the door panel, concerned about seal.

Oof. For something so modern, the interior sure looks like '80s Delco Grand Prix drivel. Looks penned by the same people who dreamed the Banshee.
