I'm just not into the fashion > performance trends that the same people jump from this current fad to the next new fad.
It could be considered the pot calling the kettle black, but the performance movement hasn't really changed all that much over the same time. Its not like he has been scorned for driving a foreign car or something. I tend to help friends of mine actually convert away from the fashion movements and coming to the dark side of performance.......we do have cookies afterall.
I probably will be pissed when the first hardparker refers to my E36 as "Stanced/hellaflushed/can 'o beets/ etc" though, as it was lowered for A.) A berkeleying reason, and B.) Reasonably before this whole epidemic.

IMHO, the scariest part of the ad is this bit:
have a lot of DIY stuff done to it that I've learned to do off the car forums like ... wire tucking
IOW, this car comes with free random electrical glitches for life!

Well put. That's what I am getting at. I've been young and dumb before. I put a fart cannon on a car and sticker bombed the E36 M3 out of it. People pointed and laughed and I didn't give a E36 M3. I eventually grew up. Getting butt hurt about people laughing at something they did themselves is a waste of energy.
You aren't going to change anyone's view here.

Hey now, some guy on a forum told me that wire tucking made cars easier to work on because you could see things better.
My 1st car was worse, I can promise you that
None of those girls know Spell Check?
That poor berkeleying car. (sighs)

I don't think that this is the Miata that is "the answer".
