The people of our world disgust me. I made a lady cry tonight. What did I do? I ran up to little ceasers for some curros and there was a downsy kid sitting on a seat next to me. He said something and I started talking to him like a person. His mother said on the way out that no one had ever treated him like that before..... WTF is wrong in the world when treating some one like a person is enough to make a grown woman get choked up.
Wait, people don't talk to kids like normal humans, disability or not?
Maybe we're not the normal people. THAT is what makes me feel bad about the future.
WTF. The "parent" has the problem since they don't treat him like a human.
Moms was emotional because I treated her downsy kid like a normal person instead of ignoring him like most every one else does.
My little brother is mentally inept and it is hell on families. Its compounded by how society treats the retarded. So when they see some one who isn't treating them like they have the plague it gets them choked up.
Society as a whole treats the retarded like E36 M3.

I have a problem talking to kids. I talk to them like normal people. It's kind of awkward when they answer like it kid, but you know what? Sometimes they respond like an adult. When that happens, it shows me that most adults are out of touch with children.
Some adults suck.
Best advice for parenting I ever got: talk to your kid like he/she is a short adult. That applies to the Down's etc kids as well.
