cute. probably based on this episode 2 critique from david brin. (At least, the stuff at the 2:20 mark would make you think that.)

Fascinating. I like his plot twist. It makes a ton of sense. The Jedi were dicks.
Lucas' universe is way better when other people play in it. If you ever get a chance to play the Knights of the Old Republic games, they really are excellent. They pull off a brilliant plot twist that manages to outdo even "I am your father." It also follows the author's critique of Lucas' ham-handed Jedi detachment philosophy. Your hero ends up having quite the interesting back story. They also interest a cool Neutral Force character in the first one who speaks with open disdain of both the Jedi and Sith.

Vader is second in command to the Emperor... Tarkin might have been in charge of the Death Star, but Vader was in charge of him..
Beside the fact the narrator says the exhaust port was "2 feet" wide, when in the scene when the general gives his speech to the pilots he states that its "2 meters square". Nerds can't get anything right :)
maybe a modern earth foot is the same as a meter from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away... it has already been established that a parsec was a measurement of time in that galaxy..

Wookieepedia said: Solo was not referring directly to his ship's speed when he made this claim. Instead, he was referring to the shorter route he was able to travel by skirting the nearby Maw black hole cluster, thus making the run in under the standard distance. By moving closer to the black holes, Solo managed to cut the distance down to about 11.5 parsecs.

Very cool. I may need to give that a try

yeah, i'm sure that's exactly what George Lucas was thinking when he wrote the first one..
