In reply to Wally :
I had to repeat the lyrics in my head to remember where the word "cover" was used. Then I laughed.

Knowing what paintballs taste like, and the fact we keep buckets of cheese balls around the house for cheap dog treats. (seriously, just for the dogs. :P) That's evil!
Today i learned that i can't count. We were not stiffed for truck. It was all there, but a few bills were stuck together.
I also learned that ohio is much stricter than north Carolina about title work.
So, my apologies for slabdering random craigslist dude. I was wrong, and should have had someone else double check me before giving the money to my brother.
TIL my SMS client takes 20 minutes to delete all the text messages from the woman I dated for 4 years. That's 2500+ messages worth.
I also learned that Cranberry Sierra Mist and vodka makes a pretty damn good cocktail.
Time for number 3
TIl that a B13 SER Sentra has 185/65 14 tires because fitting studded 185/70 14 tires will need you to beat the rib out of the spring seat on the rear struts.

I had to google. Then I laughed too.
TIL that Google images search for "naked Lotus" doesn't return a bunch of cars with tube frame bodies.
TIL that throwing stock 350Z suspension bits on a RWD G35 sedan lowers the car by around 1". Mine's on coilovers, but it might be a good tip if any of you find one for challenge money.
TIL GM gave Beretta 2 Chevy Berettas as a sign of good faith after Beretta sued them for forgetting to check with Beretta before they casually slapped their name on their econobox. These cars are apparently still at the Beretta museum.
Wally said:In the Eagles song “Take It Easy” the word is “cover”, not “brother”. That was embarrassing.
In the AC/DC song "Dirty Deeds", the line is "dirt cheap, not "with sheep". That was also embarrassing.*
*Credit to Bob Rivers for coming up with something better than those awful Christmas songs.
In reply to Daylan C :
TIL some people think of the Chevy Beretta as an econobox. At the time I assure you it wasn't looked at as one!
In reply to dculberson :
Forgive my ignorance. I'm young enough that I have never encountered a Beretta that hasn't already lived a long life as a beater.
TIL That directing 14 freshmen engineering students working on 14 engineering project builds at one time, by myself, in a machine shop with an attached wood shop, keeping them all alive and intact, can be a bit of a challenge.
Sort of like herding cats with ADD.
I only lost a tiny bit of knuckle skin on 1 finger. Glad is was mine and not one of the student's though.
TIL that removing a 1 inch skin cancer spot from my forehead will leave a berkeleying 3 -4 inch zig zag scar up my forehead and into my hairline since they have to pull the surrounding skin to cover where they removed the E36 M3tty flesh. AND they shaved a 3 inch bald spot to do so....(maybe this belongs in Rants...) Thank God it wasn't a cancer that spreads.

Did you meet Dr. Gonzo? Did he threaten to carve a Z in your forhead?

Cancer by its nature spreads. To my knowledge, Fibrosarcoma protruberans is the only cancer that does not metastasize. Basal or squamous cell have a low risk of it, but they can. You are going to want to wear a hat and put sunscreen on that incision every day for at least the next year. Scars heal side to side, not end to end. You get a more cosmetic result if there is no tension on the closure. The zig zag thing is from the rotational flaps done to get adequate soft tissue closure. Try look up z plasty.
