I had exactly the same thought.
My son and I were checking it out at the Detroit show. It doesn't follow anyone automotive theme or direction. Just a collection of cool engineering ideas. Different for sure.
A lot of it looks like your typical "style excesise" that never really gets produced in whole but I am glad to see Toyota playing with a Mid-Rear design.
I'll hold hope that maybe they will do something and launch anything Mid-Rear.
