Did you buy a Kubota ?

I use a Kubota MX5800 with a loader at work on a regular basis. Lots of rock and dirt hauling. The tires aren't filled and I found it necessary to form up a box around a draw bar and a piece of steel filled with concrete for an 800# counterweight. I don't have much to compare it to but the hydraulics seem on the week side and the pump is pretty loud. I would never buy a Kubota here because our dealer is terrible. I would shop service departments as well as tractors.

Most of what I've heard has been anecdotal, but you guys are the only ones I've heard praise Mahindra about anything.

My FIL has their top of the line side by side, with a full cab, and the whole accessory catalog thrown at it.  It spent its 1st 3+ months in the shop for several issues.  Mostly minor issue, but it needed a couple CV boots soon after purchase.  Dealer couldn't remove the axles without destroying them, so new CV boots turned into new axles, on a "new" side by side, and a long wait on parts.

I know that's not a tractor, but does speak for dealer mechanic and/or engineering competence, and parts availability.

Have a friend who's FIL bought a new Mahindra, had it delivered, and the dealer pulled a fast one, intentionally delivering a lower spec model, and trying to pass it off as what he purchased.  I know that could just be one shady dealer.

Several other anecdotes I've heard about parts availability, reliability, fit/finish, etc. from folks way more knowledgeable about Tractors than me.  Enough that they won't make my list when shopping.

This is Arkansas, we're #1 in rice production in the US, #2 in poultry,  #3 in catfish, #5 in cotton, top ~10 in most other row crops and cattle, depending on the year.  Agriculture is our largest industry, so there are a lot of tractors.  I work in ag & environmental research, I know a lot of farmers, tractors are their livelihood, none of them have Mahindras.

Maybe they're okay for light duty homeowner stuff?  Maybe I'm a tractor snob?  I say no thanks to Mahindra.

If you'd like to disagree with me about other things, I also dislike mayo and Miracle Whip, I only like brown/spicy/stone ground mustard not that yellow stuff, I really don't care for most Nissans, Fords, Hondas, and Korean cars, I don't care for eggs on their own (scrambled, fried, boiled, etc.), I loathe Dave Mathews band, steel drums and most saxophone music.  Come at me bro! cheeky

I just went through the process of tractor hunting, but I wanted a backhoe in addition to the front end loader. I wound up buying new.

I got a Kubota BX23s, but the JD 1025r TLB is the same size. I think either is a good tractor I am not into the "this color is better than that color".

BUT! given the size of the rocks you are moving any tractor that size is too small. Go up a size.
