huh.
My impression is that they were going for a car capable of high mileage, and somehow had the front part of a plane fuselage.
Not a horrificially bad idea, could have been a whole lot better executed.
A guy I know made a 3 wheeler with a MC engine in the back- he gets something like 100mpg, but it looks pretty uncomfortable to drive in the summer with the bubble canopy. (ignoring safety issues, BTW- if you make one of these, I don't think safety is a word that really matters all that much).
I actually kinda like it.....looks like some of the art deco era streamliners. Don't know if it's safe to drive though.

Dude! Do you know how long I've wanted one of those?? Is that yours? If so, please tell us all about it!
Welcome to Florida! Land of tacky 4-wheeled creations!
We also produced this little nugget of hideousness--

That looks like a Piper Tomahawk which was given the unflattering nick name of Tramahawk due to its unpredictable stall/spin characteristics.

With a different body, that thing would be pretty cool. Everything else on it looks good.
it would even be cool if the body were more "flat" to the ground.. instead of looking like it is about to tip over ontop of the engine

I grew up in St. Pete. Back in 1963 - 66 a guy around the corner built fiberglass cars, corvair based with glass bubble tops.
Wonder what ever happened to him and the cars ........

I'm pretty sure it is mounted like that so the driver can see over the cowl.
