I'm sorry to whoever it was that I cut off pretty much immediately (Atticus, I think?)
Saw someone on the grass turning sharply in my direction so I moved over to leave them space... right in your way

Poop, that was fun man! I could never find a place to get a good run on you out of a turn until that damaged car. I had to move over, I wasn't gonna stick you behind him, that would have been a bullE36 M3 move on my part.

My car decided to roll with five laps left, and pulling away in the lead...

Thanks man!!! I tried to keep it real clean, but running lemons, I think I "give" a little too much in the interest of being clean. I'll be gat damned if I was gonna give up 3rd, but was totally willing to do it if you caught me sleepin. Thanks for not embarrasing me! My nephews were spectating, and are trying to beat uncle Mike's fastest lap (pays $20) as we speak!

Roll or no roll, I'm having "what would racerfink do?" tshirts made.
Great race everyone, it was a blast to have that kind of a turnout on that track. Looking forward to the next one!

I'm using a wheel and pedal setup, but I wouldn't say it's necessary at all. I think there's plenty of folks here that play with just the controller and drive a heck of alot better than me. ;)
It does make it much more fun for me so I love the wheel and couldn't see going back. I took a picture of my setup and posted on my blog here: My Forza 4 Simulation Setup
As much of the replay as the xBox will save is on my storefront. As always, the thing seems to stop recording right around the time things get interesting...

I did bump someone while trying to get to the front, which really was my own fault for not having patience. It didn't really effect me any, still got the #2 spot with only 7 laps of practice before qualifying!

You too! I think I gave you a little "love tap" while passing. Very sorry. Should've been more patient!
Last night's race was fun, but I am still trying to figure out where Bootsy's power comes from in the straights. His little Mazda 2 is the only one that pulls away from my Yaris like that, and the Fit's were giving me ...heh heh heh, wait for it...fits. My Yaris can keep pace with most anyone...til I make that mistakes trying to overdrive to catch up or pass. I keep hearing myself and that old voice,"You need to slow down to go faster" but man it's tough in a video game where the tires aren't giving feedbak, the chassis isn't giving feedback, brakes lock up all the time, steering doesn't do the right thing. But FUN! Oh yeah! My Pop was digging the overall enthusiasm and the liveries.
Speaking of liveries, Poopshovel, how you liking that livery for the Fit I sent you? My tgrm garage car(honda Fit, B Spec) is the opposite colored version with American Cancer Society sponsorship, and Race Against Cancer moto on it. Yeah, totally fake and all imagination, but the anti cancer message works for me...Still working on small details and trying to figure out where to put a small thing for my Mom on it

What we are seeing is common in the ABC lobby. Don't know why or where it comes from, but no lag or anything, just BAM, SOLO! The only way to get back in is to shut down your XBox, reboot your wireless router to reset the NAT settings, then reboot the XBox and try to get back in. It's a huge PITA

Are you using the clutch w/manual? It's worth a good bit on acceleration. Also, the 2 is probably the overdog of the series. All the cars have one area they are really good at, then not so much at others. The 2 is probably in the top 3, if not top 2 in every area. That's why over half the field is made up of 2's. My 2 is usually at least a half second quicker at every track than my Kia, and I haven't even spent any time trying to tune my 2. I just didn't want to drive what everybody else was driving and make it a spec series.
Racerfink is right, the clutch is a big advantage. Especially compared to an equal car that is not using clutch.
Beginning of the end
Oh E36 M3!
I wondered why my car came to a stop so quickly while sliding on it's roof. I now know why.

Yeah man, I had no expectations of having 3rd given up easily and I sure as hell wasn't gonna dive bomb ya. Whenever I hop out of the line in a braking zone, its just to keep from running into the back of someone while braking, not to dive bomb. There were two turns that I think I had a better exit speed but just could not, for the life of me, get a good enough run to get past you. I just kept hoping you would make a mistake so I could pounce. That didn't materialize.
I rolled my car at the turn 10(of the full course) on the first lap of qualifying and ended up qualifying 14th. I managed to finish in 4th. Whew! I was driving possessed, as they say.
