I was reading some info on one of Verizon’s Apps and saw “Verizon Selects” so i started reading about it. Since Verizon has been snapping up web services the list of those companies and how they access info and share it was surprising (to me). Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised but this “OATH” company looks pretty shady.

If you're truly, honestly worried about data privacy and info sharing between companies.

Stop using the internet/Facebook/Instagram/etc and don't use electronic forms of payment.

Otherwise just accept even when companies say they aren't going to do anything with the data, they really are, and your ISP and Google/etc  all know every site you've visited, YouTube video you've watched, etc.

FWIW Oath is the group of media properties that AOL acquired prior to itself being acquired by Verizon.  This media group includes Autoblog and Engadget, among others IIRC.
