The other evening, I’m heading home from the shop in the M3. I had the window down because it was nice out.
At a red light, a dude pulls up next to me and rolls down his window.
“What kind of car is that?”
“BMW.”
“Is it stick shift?”
“Yep.”
“Is it fast?”
“It does okay.”
“Wanna party?”
Cue up the record scratching to a halt.
Have a nice evening, I said, and waved him along.
Was I just propositioned for sex? Drugs? Both? Something else?
I've seen this movie before.
Well, I saw most of it, then I ran out of quarters and someone else was waiting to use the booth. Pretty sure I know how it ends, though.

I think it was more of a two-finger wave–like a wave combined with a point as if to say, You go that way, son.
I mean.... I lack self confidence and have to be told after the fact if I was being hit on, but even I know when someone is offering me coke.

The real problem with hanging out at the track with real racers & cars is that the answer with any car you'd have on the street is an objective "No. At least, not with me as as driver. I'm mid-pack, at best."
