Fantastic technique and style. I grew up in the first generation of urethane-wheeled skateboarders. Remember Stevie Caballero at about age 14 show up at a contest and just blow everyone away with stuff that we'd never seen done before.
The limits just keep getting extended.

My struggle is getting the front wheel off the ground, even when using that method. It doesn't help that the front tire alone is over 2.5lbs. I'm going to swap the current Maxxis DHF/DHR II tires out for a lighter pair somewhat soon.
In reply to Pete Gossett (Forum Supporter) :
I am not an expert but weight has very little effect on getting the front weight off the ground versus technique. Are you able to manual? The first part of a bunny hop should be similar to a manual.
In reply to 93EXCivic :
When I test rode the bike on an 11-mile urban ride I could manual & bunnyhop it fine - but it had Maxxis Ikon tires on it. That's nearly 1lb lighter than the DHF currently on it, and it feels like there's a brick tied to the forks.
I'm tempted to just get a set of Ikons for it, but knowing they're an XC tire I'm concerned they won't hold up to my urban riding. So I've been comparing other alternatives, but haven't really settled on anything yet.
Excellent stuff. Like watching Jason adams' part in "bag of suck". I'll I remember thinking was "who has these ideas?!!?" It doesn't always have to be about bigger or faster, creativity wins.

I'm with you. Creativity and style. I don't need a dozen bar spins. Just make it rad.

Tate roskelly ftw.
I'm also a big fan of Erik elstran- he throws a lot of flatland into his routine.
Another rider to check out: Brad Simms.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
I follow mr simms on IG. Dude is an absolute force.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
2 things really caught my attention in that vid: 1.) Brad has a level of precision I've not seen from many other riders. He's pulling some huge tricks & perfectly nailing his landing points. And 2.) It's rad seeing Matt Hoffman representing Peavey.
In reply to Pete Gossett (Forum Supporter) :
Mat rules and, yeah, Brad's riding is just precise and brutal. I'd love to see him ride IRL.
Brian Fox used to be local, and I have seen him ride several times. He once did a double back flip at a local competition. Honestly, it was so effortless that it looked fake.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
The height of Brad Simm's bunny hops just doesn't compute to me.
Some of the park riders tricks are just unbelievable like Kieran Reilly who recently did a triple flair.

I get dizzy standing up too fast, and guys are out here doing this. I can't compete.

The way Brad just grabs the bike and makes it leap is just amazing. Like, he doesn't need a lip to get airborne–just inspiration.
