With Firefox 29.0.1, which I normally use, I cannot log into this website. I try, it appears to go, but it still isn't signed in. IE has no trouble (obviously, otherwise I couldn't post this)

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the site, Tuna. Take some small comfort from the fact that you are not the only forum member experiencing technical difficulties at the moment. I will pass on your name to the guru who is working on it.

I'm using FF 29.0 on 64 bit linux ... no issues here but yesterday the site reverted to it's formerly awesome compact interface for a brief time and then went a little nuts in other ways... bad gateway errors, etc so it is possible that things are still a little "off" on the server side.

Try clearing caches and cookies.

I ran into that problem yesterday too. However, I could log in on my home computer (old XP box) that's running the current firefox, but not at work (windows 7). Weird.

I had that problem once on my phone, IIRC clearing cookies solved it.

Possible revelation: I'm also using Firefox and Windows 7. No worky.

I just cleared cookies, and I can log in now. Weird.

These issues can often be traced to a faulty user.

From Ed:

Open Firefox and try this:

  1. Click the Menu button near the top right corner of the screen and click Options.
  2. To clear cookies click on the Privacy tab and click on remove individual cookies. You can choose to delete individual cookies or all of them.
  3. To clear the cache click on the Advanced tab and click the Network sub-tab. Under Cached Web Content click the Clear Now button.
  4. Click OK to finish.
