gotta take a welding test today. never taken one before. it is for a company that makes stainless kitchen stuff for restaurants.. any ideas of what to expect?

Company test or independent certification? Company may be a visual inspection of a welded sample piece - or more, certification can be a destructive test and pressure test. Do they make anything that holds pressure? If they have all fab/flat work I would think it would be less involved. If they make things for fluid or pressure, I would expect a more involved test procedure.

Some of the kitchens I've seen definitely don't apply that to their hiring practices.
