Pandora's been suggesting new music for me, and this song came up in on one of my stations, I dig it. So I looked up his other music and found this video. Now I want a Testarossa.

Hmm I wonder if there's a really accurate kit car out there somewhere, shove a Mercedes V12 in it and call it a day.
The guy driving the Mustang II looked to be having more fun.

They made fieros and beetles into ever conceivable ferrari at one point or another. I have to believe a decent kit exists.
as cheap as testarossas are.. they are as close as Ferrari got to building a production car
That is a pretty good ad for Mustang II
Will this one make you want an F40, a Diablo or an F355?

Doing doughnuts in a purple Diablo is pretty much the definition of awesome.

<--- Big fan of Kavinsky. Cool to see someone else discover his stuff. He has a few other videos with said Testarossa, some animated. Also see: Sebastian Tellier. Crazy Frenchmen.

Fixed it. IIRC, Nick Mason was driving the F40 in the video. Correction, Nick Mason was driving his F40.
Jay Kay knows how to rock star.

I already want a Diablo, no need to feed the fire for one of those.
His music isn't really my style (can't help but think of the Nepoleon Dynamite dance scene), but Jamiroquai must be a gearhead at heart, here's another one of his videos featuring a Porsche as the star of the video.

He's a total gearhead with a lot of vintage supercars that he loves to drive. He's spent considerable time on top of the Top Gear leaderboard, too.
Heck, just check out the cover for his most successful album.

When I was a kid, everyone I knew thought the Countach was cooler than the Testarossa. I thought they were nuts, and I still do. The Testarossa was absolutely the first car I fell in love with.
Oh, and I'd like mine to be yellow. You know, in case it wouldn't stand out enough otherwise.
In reply to Will:
Mine was the Pantera(GT5 please), then Countach, followed by Testarosa and 959.
I'd still like a Pantera, even having driven one and knowing it's closer to a muscle car than sportscar. Forget the Lambo though, I know enough about them to stay away.
I never cared for the "in your face" design motif of most Lambos.. Ferraris were always more restrained in their designs. IMHO this has helped them age well. The Countach looks like it was dragged kicking and screaming from the 70s.. while a 308 still looks good
The Testarossa is far from restrained.

This is the first I've heard of this. I would say anything 360 on up is where Ferrari got into less maintenance intensive and more normal day to day drivable type cars. Definitely not an 80s F car and especially not a v12. I looked at Testarossas, 348s, 355s, 360s, 430s etc and ended up with a 3 pedal 360.
I wouldn't call them cheap either. Good ones are still over 100k and real desirable ones are much more. I almost bought a high mileage beater with a bad trans as a project and it was still around 45k and sold pretty much immediately.

no, the side strakes are quite straining.
And it has been a few years since I looked at a testarossa.. but compare it to other Ferrari's and they built a E36 M3 tonne of them and their prices are relatively weak in comparison.
I personally think that Ferrari styling ended with the 360.. anything beyond that is damn ugly
I could have sworn this was because of the Sir Mix A Lot song. He even mentions the twin turbo Koenig setup in the song. God, Testarossa and Posse on Broadway were his pinnacle.
