Are they making you work the full two weeks?
When I worked in a place that shall forever be known as the gulag, the policy was to escort workers off the site the same day when they resigned. Mostly because they were worried about sabotage/vandalism/retribution/revenge/I don't give a E36 M3 work performance. Since I am known as an outstandingly honest and conscious worker they made me work nearly the whole 2 weeks.
I had plans for those 2 weeks.
...the high cost of integrity.
Enjoy the new job!
No escorts off the property, that would have been fun! But, I am very nervous about this new job because there are things I love at my current job and things I hate, hence why I am leaving, and I understand that it will be like that no matter where you go, but how much can one man take??? I feel guilty about leaving as I am personal friends with the manager, but I also feel that is part of my decision on leaving
Wait, Hondas never break down and their drivers are the best in the world (they will tell you for sure)... Why would they need a parts department?
Dealer life is not missed here.
Congratulations!
Tjbell, my qualifier for a job is economic standing.
The more money (or benefits, or time off) you have the further ahead you are, and additionally gives you the ability to have more options for where you want to go in life.
While atmosphere and work conditions are important at a job, if you dont see yourself staying there the rest of your life, you've made the right decision.
