I've heard rumors before of people casting parts out of JB, but this is the first I've actually seen it done. I approve.
I can believe it. What's peak cylinder pressure in a flathead small engine? I doubt it's more than a few hundred PSI, BMEP in the double digits. And that would be at full load, not the high idle in the video.

It's not, I had the same thought at first and was surprised as well. He got lucky, take a closer look at that spark plug washer. He used a big enough washer for the spark plug that it's arcing between that washer and one of the head bolts.
I knew a guy with a 2 stroke 250 MX bike who gouged his cylinder wall, filled it in with JBW, honed it and got another season out of it.
I keep mine next to my duct tape and tube of Shoe Goo in my tool box.

ok, I thought that was just dirt or something at first. Now I see it was the spark jumping from the washer to the headbolt.
Hmmmmmm, I wonder.... any chance to add a ceramic coating to the chamber?? Would that hold up any better?
