Wolf Totem is a great track! Enjoy the show - I bet it's great!
I caught Hatebreed with Harm's Way last night. Freaking 30 years on and Hatebreed is still putting out great music. I didn't anticipate getting in the pit, but then they played Perseverance and I didn't really have a choice because, well, it's a fantastic song. A little bit later I was up front and a fight broke out. Jamey Jasta brought attention to it on the mic and people scattered, except for a few people. I was with those few people. We dove in to the fight and made it stop, and I marched a dude out. Good to know that's still my reaction.
Seriously, these guys are great. With a name like Hatebreed you'd expect some sort of skinhead music, but that's not it. It's overwhelmingly positive and sends a message about triumph over adversity.

Saw the Eagles at the Las Vegas Sphere last Saturday night. All I can say is if you like a band and they are playing at the sphere...
GO!
The venue is incredible sonically and visually. Like an IMAX but bigger with 165,000 speaker drivers in the house. And it sounded perfect.
Current last one was Emmylou Harris at Golden Gate Park in SF, I'm planning to go to at least a couple this weekend (Chokecherry, Vosh) and probably Fusion Babies next weekend. I usually go to 75-100 shows a year.

They were great again, see them if they come close to you!
Sturgill Simpson tonight in Pittsburgh. Not a huge fan of arena shows but it was a good time, lot of jamming and covers.

LOVE Hatebreed...
Toad the Wet Sprocket opening up for the Bare Naked Ladies tonight at the Sound outdoor venue in Clearwater. Great night, great show, great venue. Multiple food trucks and a hang out spot pre-show was really nice. Ran into our own Glueguy and his awesome wife. Wait till you find out his new ride!
BNL's Highway to Hell cover was ripping. They only played two songs off of Gordon and I would have been ok with a few more.
The Dropkick Murphys are playing there in March '25. Might have to make that one.
I finally got to see Wic Whitney open for Sammy Rae & The Friends at The Salt Shed in Chicago Sunday. It was my second Sammy Rae show. I loved the whole show, and Wic was awesome.
Just saw Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats for the second time Tuesday night. They killed it like before.
The opener was Gregory Alan Isakov which I don't recall hearing before. I think I liked the band better live than in recording. It was a really slow vibe but so good.
I have tickets to see Iron Maiden tonight and at the last minute the friend who was going with me had to bail (covid...). Anyone in the Philly area interested?
Lawrence killed it last night in Boston to finish-up the US leg of the Family Business tour. Awesome show. Good opening set by Stephen Day, too.
Billy Strings in Baltimore with my wife for Halloween. He's a little too jammy live for me but my wife loved it. Incredible cover of The Man Comes Around with T-Bone Burnett
Right now, sadly, nothing on the calendar. Hope to take in some live jazz in DeLand later this month.
This fall has been good for music for me. Had to give our tickets for Everclear/Marcy Playground away because of Helene, but then I saw Counting Crows (pretty OK) and Little Feat within two weeks. Little Feat was absolutely amazing, for a bunch of old dudes they had more energy than any other band I've ever seen. Amazing jams and super talented musicianship all around. I 10000% would go watch them again. There weren't many people my age there, but it didn't matter because the older crowd was still going wild lol
