Annie and I saw Loreena McKennitt perform at the Providence Performing Arts Center a few years ago. Great concert. She did this song. Same band. Incredible talent. It was one of my best concerts ever. You'd be amazed (as I was) at the amount of specialized instruments, including a Hurdy Gurdy, and talent it took to create this sound.
Imagine, if you will.
Powerman 5000 had their lyrics written by a 13 year old.
Lonely Island did metal/hard rock
Metalocalypse was less good.
Well, this is mostly Mark. I really like this. She should have sat on the side and let him do his thing.
I've apparently spent too much time driving the Bentley. It's been classical for the past couple of days.
In reply to David S. Wallens :
I was there!!! Raleigh and Chapel Hill had a killer music scene back then.
Animals as Leaders. I'm not usually big on instrumental stuff, but I've been giving these guys a go recently. It's music for music nerds. Super prog, math rock, djent, and all around hectic. These guys are unbelievably talented, and the flashiness doesn't come off as showing off. I'm still not sure it's for me. Makes my brain fritz out. Short circuit. Hectic.
The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars.
What an absolute triumph of an album from the legendary Bowie. Simple, powerful, innocent. A master, second to none. Still the most unwelcome celebrity death, even these years later. I played a small tribute a an open mic that week.

I'm In This Image And I Think I May Like It.
