Pink Floyd. Shine On You Crazy Diamond
A mature David Gilmour at his finest. And our favorite British car-guy Nick Mason on percussion (as in British guy who likes cars, although he might have an Aston Martin and vintage Bentley in his collection). And then there's Candy Dulfer in a cameo alto sax solo doing the duty for usual PF sax player Dick Parry. Pretty good music. The notes say this was a concert from 1990. Candy's hair definitely looks eighties-ish. In fact she looks better now than 25 years ago! watch this:

Good artist, good song. What ever happened to her?
I believe shortly following the realease of "here's to never growing up", Avril grew up.

Alan Jackson: Gone Crazy
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YCgumHfy_SI
I have a good story about Alan Jackson and an encounter a few years ago on a bench in Mallory Square in Key West with the guy who cleans my oil burner. As a result, it reinforced to me that he's a genuine, down to earth guy, not a jackass like some of his contemporaries.
And another AJ favorite, The Blues Man:

I love the slide on this one.

Eddie Vedder: Society
I like Eddie in acoustic mode, as well as his great, powerful, melodic voice. It's unique.

Eddie Vedder with Roger Waters: Comfortably Numb
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_F3wHorqpNY
Eddie did a great job on this. Roger was his normal pompous-ass, useless self. What I would like to have heard was David Gilmour on guitar and Nick Mason on percussion. But this was pretty good, nevertheless.
(Update 7/25: Roger Waters "performed" locally last night at the opening day of the Newport Folk Festival. I didn't go but talked to friends who did. Roger was his usual self, flitting around on stage like a damn fool, flailing his long arms and pointing at the audience, and letting his backup people do the bulk of work ... Amy Helm (Leon's daughter), a few people from My Morning Jacket, fiddler Sara Watkins, and others. Good thing. But he got paid big money just for showing up and flitting around the stage).

Not bad considering his accompaniment. Actually JD did pretty good, although he's just an unwitting pawn in this whole scheme. Ignore any of the BS social implications of this vid. This is only about the music. I think JD's crazy wife paid for this concert for the extreme leftist exposure. But if you can recognize that, then you can ignore the leftist BS and appreciated the pure music genius of this video.

In reply to Karl La Follette:
Yikes! Great guitar, and great, great style! You don't see that kind of style much anymore. I'd like to know who this dude is. Hair, eyebrows, prominent nose and chin, suit and TV tie and ill-fitting pants ... Geez, this guy has it all goin' for him. (Dr. Frankenstein and associates had some influence, I presume). No doubt it was a great concert! However, I couldn't understand a damn word he spoke at the end. No doubt, genuine frontier gibberish!
And the guy or gal who made the video must have Parkinson's!
And the eyebrows, they're scary ...
But the most important thing is, the music is excellent! And that's what this thread is all about. Thank you!

These guys are from the Netherlands and play great American R&B. And they're very, very cool!

Lucinda Williams: There's Something About What Happens When We Talk
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HArLuaTHlzg
Great Lucinda Williams music from the late eighties or early nineties from Austin Cities Limits PBS TV performance. Her music has progressed significantly since then. See if I can find something after her golden years (i.e., enter into her "dark side").

A great live performance on Austin City Limits even before her first major CD. This performance is nearly thirty years old but still seems contemporary.
Been listening to a lot of dropkick murphys lately. In specific, their live album.
