SRV: Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo in Toronto, 1983
This is the gold standard for contemporary blues. Stevie Ray was at his absolute best that night more than thirty years ago at the El Mocambo Ballroom in Toronto. It gives me chills every time I listen to his superb technical guitar skills, excellent vocals, and percussion and bass back up. This is my all time favorite blues performance. One of my greatest regrets in life is that I never saw him perform live. My other two major regrets are that I never saw races at Bridgehampton and Riverside before they closed. There are a few hundred other regrets, but those are the first ones that come to mind.
(Annie hates this music, I love it. But I love Annie anyway .
