Our leopard gecko alternating between the happy "Whoop" and the cranky "AAAAACCCKKKK"...
She's currently about 2-3 hours from peeling and sitting on my shoulder tucked under my sweatshirt...

We have a pet leopard gecko (lizard) that is about to shed her skin. I was sitting with her out of her cage tucked between my t-shirt and a sweat shirt. They basically make 2 noises, a happy noise that sounds like "Whoop" and a not happy noise that sounds like "AAAACCCKKKK". She was sitting there and periodically making alternating happy/unhappy noises. It seems that the weight of my sweatshirt would relieve some of the itchiness from her being ready to shed and she would make her happy noise, but then if I moved or if she moved it might be more uncomfortable so she would make the unhappy noise. So it just happened to be the noises I was hearing at the time...
Edit to add a pic. Leopard Gecko hanging out with the cat. Not particularly normal, but our critters get along...

These guys are real musicians not just loud noise makers...took SWMBO to see them do an acoustic show in a local "opera hall" built in 1930 that seats a few thousand. They rocked that place even without electric guitars...
