Live: throwing copper album.
'The cover art is a painting by Scottish artist Peter Howson titled Sisters of Mercy. On September 23, 2005 it was sold for $186,000 by Christie's in New York. The painting is oil on canvas and measures 243 × 182 centimeters.[12] It has been suggested that the painting explores the themes of betrayal, revenge, and fear and that it shows a group of prostitutes urging a man holding a bible to throw himself off a cliff.[13]'
Being an old man I'm always open to new stuff .....thanks Db13

The End
First heard this around 50 years ago. Seems like yesterday.

I'm a big fan of The Doors.
You and me both.
(I won't post Jim Morrison's version of Van Morrison's "Gloria" performed at the Whiskey A-Go-Go on Sunset Blvd. L.A. in the summer of '66. It's an interesting but somewhat vulgar adaptation. It's out there if you're interested).
Two weekends ago, we're pulling 14 hour days moving an an entire business from one location to another one five miles away, and since Da Boss set the shop radio, it was tuned to the local "mature rock" station. (WNCX for those of you in NE Ohio, and I am shocked how many of you there are) For reference, I'm nearing 40 and the second youngest guy there, I could probably be the youngest's father. A song comes on the radio. "Gloria".
It doesn't sound right.
"Is that The Doors?"
"Who?"
I keep working. Damn if that doesn't sound like Jim on vocals, but I got work do to so I put it out of my mind and get back to work. But damn, that just don't sound right.
"Wait, that sounds like Krieger on guitar and Densmore's organ. That has GOT to be The Doors."
Yes. It was the berking Doors.

Annie and I will see Eilen Jewell perform in Collinsville, CT next month.
Soundtrack for Atomic Blonde
Kick ass movie. In the same vein as Baby Driver where the music pushes the movie and works to set the tempo, the mood, and the environment. Helps that I listened to most of this in high school and college. WLIR out of Garden City, NY was the best.

I'm a bit disappointed with the meager participation on this thread lately. This is one of the longest, most pertinent, and most interesting threads on the forum. I personally really appreciate everyone's offering. I've learned a lot here, and I thought I knew everything. I look forward to hearing the music you like. It really broadens our horizons. So, please, let's hear what you're listening to.
