What cordless ratchet do you enjoy? any to avoid?
I expect a lot of the replies to include advice to stick with the manufacturer that you're already using. I have Dewalt tools, but I don't think that they don't make a cordless ratchet, so I'm interested in following this.
Do you have any cordless tools already? Sticking to one battery platform is always more cost effective than choosing "the best" of each tool category.
If you go Milwaukee get the Fuel version, the non-fuel M12 ratchets have some metal parts that are known to break and are not nearly as beefy as the Fuel versions.

Well, I have my answer!
Edit: my Dewalt batteries are all 20v, the mac cordless tool is a 12v. Further searching revealed that Dewalt appears to have some 20v cordless ratchets coming. They were revealed at a trade show in October.
I have a mismatch collection of Battery tools. Craftsman, Rigid, I think a couple HF things.
No loyalty.

I've never felt that I need more than 12v for the ratchet, and I like the small battery profile.
Most of my DeWalt stuff is 20v, but I bought this ratchet as a bare tool (no battery) and then bought a cheap 12v Drill / Impact Combo on sale at Home Depot to share the batteries. I like both the 12v drill and the 1/4" drive impact more than I had expected to.
The DeWalt charger will charge both the 12 and 20v batteries.

Once you cut the cord on the impact why settle being a peasant?
Literally cannot wait until the Dewalt 20v version...

I've found three problems with the pneumatic version of the powered ratchet. The air hose tends to always be in the way. Maybe with a more flexible hose, some swivel adapters, and dropping the air down from the ceiling it might be less of a problem, but I think the tether is always going to be somewhat limiting. The second problem I have is the noise. Maybe it's because mine's a cheapie that came with my Craftsman compressor years ago, but it's easily the loudest air tool I possess. Finally, and this is kind of stupid, for whatever reason this is the tool that seems to blow the most air back in my face when I use it. Again, that might be the fact that mine's a cheap one, but every single time I used it I'd have crud blown into my eye by it.

I have this... as mentioned. the airhose sucks (or not available at the junkyard)
Batteries? FTW!
Yeah, whatever. You wait, next they'll be trying to run cars off of batteries. No thanks!
Oh, and get off my lawn. Please.
I cannot find a good use case for rationalizing my purchase if one of these but I did happen to watch the Project Farm YouTube channels tests if them. It's surprising how much a person can overpay for a name brand tool that severely under performs much more reasonably priced options.
