Or should I ask, how did the classic car forum get interwoven on the GRM board a couple days ago? I was enjoying it. Was it a tease to get more traffic on the CM site?

It was an experiment, and they decided to abandon ship for whatever reason. Maybe some of the folks over there couldn't take our...irreverence.
I was digging it, too. Rumor has it that there are other plans in the works toward getting more cross-forum traffic. (But it can be so hard to get through...)

Funny, I was just poking around over there and saw the same names as here.
It's bad enough I'm logged into GRM at work. Having two forums open in the background is just begging to get me busted.
You people don't scare anyone. Don't flatter yourselves.
Actually it was an effort to create additional traffic for the CMS board, and it worked. There was a technical difficulty, however, in that when you went to that board it still displayed the GRM headers, so nobody knew thwy were actually at the CMS board, which sort of killed the buzz.
We're working on ways to cross polinate things a bit more seamlessly, but in the meantime, if you want to talk about old cars, you know there's a place where you're welcome...

I'm pretty sure the lot of us are more than capable of scaring the general citizenry.
Well, I pretty much never go to the CM forum, but when it was mixed into our little playpen, I checked it out a bunch.
I hope it comes back in some way.

Quoted for truth.
I WAS posting on both GRM and C-M at one point, then my computer had one of it's irregular "brain farts" where it dumps all my cookies and I was never able to get logged back into C-M without (re)registering under another identity. Sorry, but I'm a bit lazy when it comes to registering just to post. I do read the articles on C-M, tho. And the "monthly teasers" help me decide if I need to really look on the newstand for that issue of C-M.

Next time, shoot me an email. I have megasuperpowers to fix id and login issues.

Oh, I thought that was the idea.
I quite liked the integration, too, FWIW.

Ditto
It will be back, but we need to get the style sheets from the Classic site to play nicely inside the GRM forum. It's on the list of things to do, but there are some other improvements (coming soon) that need to be settled first.

Those are generally the people I set out to scare as often as possible.

Sadly, no. vBulliten hates Django, therefore we must hate vBulliten. I wish.
Most of the changes you'll see are on the GRM homepage and a completely new solution for our online and print classifieds. We're aiming to get these changes implemented for the July 4th weekend, but no promises yet.
You'll need to log in to post.
