You can have mine. I have never been a fan of seafood...unless the cheddar biscuts from red lobster count

Hey, it was your home country's tourism commission (and Paul Hogan?) who made the most famous reference to them as "shrimp" ever...

Oh man... My local Mexican restaurant does a carne asada with bacon-wrapped shrimp (Vallarta shrimp on the menu) plate that's awesome.

Plate, shrimp, plate of shrimp. I digress...

Seriously, how is it even possible that you can hate shrimp? I should ban all y'all shrimp-haters...

The only thing I don't like about shrimp is that I am out of shrimp.

Hehe, I haven't heard my wife mention her desire for lobster since I told her it was basically a giant, underwater cockroach.

Salt water crawdads are tasty.

I was thinking that Prawn Stars would be a good reality show. It could be about gulf shrimpers catching blind, lession covered, undersized shrimp that have nothing at all to do with the BP oil disaster. Or it could be a cooking show where they have to always make a shrimp dish. Or it could be about some surprising talented shrimp family who travel the country side putting on shows. Who knows, but I like the name.

The bolded part gets my vote.

Shrimp are best served cold, hot, boiled, fried, sauteed, baked, broiled...take your pick, don't knock it until you try it.

"Shrimp is the fruit of the sea. You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, sauté it. There's, um, shrimp kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, pan fried, deep fried, stir fried. There's pineapple shrimp and lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp in potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That's, that's about it."

I hate all seafood. But stick some Maryland blue crabs in front of me and I will peel them for like a champion for you.

Damn, Maryland's too far to go for a pro crab peeler that doesn't like crab.

It would be tempting though.

That makes about the most sense. Thanks.

For the rest of you, no, I was not looking for the thread to be reopened. Really don't care.

Is it so wrong to actually be interested in the real answer to my question?

Thanks Margie, though the shrimp were a little...small.
